Hand Building taught by Linda

$35/person/class.

It is wise to plan on coming back more than once, the process of clay drying, firing, and glazing can take more than a couple weeks depending on firing schedules.

The class space is limited to 8 students at a time, they are first come first serve and can be paid for with cash or check, made out to Power Ceramics LLC, upon arrival.

Beginning Wheel taught by Michele

Intermediate Hand Building and Wheel taught by Tori

You’ll receive a 25 lb. bag of clay and access to the studio outside of class time.

Wheel classes will teach students to use the potters wheel. This class will explore throwing, trimming, and, surface techniques, and glazing. Though most students take home functional wares (bowls, cups, etc.), it is possible to explore altering your creations after getting them off the wheel.

Hand Building is a style of pottery used to make functional or sculptural items. Hand Building is using clay formed into coils and slabs build or pinching techniques to widen and shape. After your initial creations are fired, students are intended to learn about surface technique and glazing, as to take home finished and functional pieces.
